Pathways in Science: Exploring Majors and Careers
Presented by SFU’s Sci-Space and Career & Volunteer Services, this session is designed to help students make informed decisions about their science major and career direction.
Whether you’re partway through your first year or further along in your studies and still feeling uncertain, this event offers actionable advice and the chance to connect with fellow students who are experiencing similar challenges.

The session will start with a self-reflection activity and peer connections, followed by a presentation covering steps to choose a program. Themes include:
- The connection between your major and career options
- Exploring beyond traditional career paths
- Relating classroom experiences to real-world applications
- Dispelling common myths about majors and careers
- Resources available to guide your decision-making
Advance registration is encouraged to help tailor the content to attendees’ needs.
