Procrastination Awareness Week (PAW) is back for the fifth consecutive year, with the 2025 offering taking place from March 3-7, National Procrastination Week.

Keynote: “Gearing up for a Good finale!: Planting seeds of rest and rejuvenation in students”

The 2025 Procrastination Awareness Week features a keynote talk delivered by SFU PhD student Tiara Cash.

Engaging in rest and rejuvenation practices are pivotal components to finishing the term/semester in a good way. This interactive keynote will focus on reducing stress by centering mindfulness and contemplative practices in our own lives and focusing on the lives of those we care about.

Tiara Cash was born and raised in Memphis, TN and is currently situated on the unceeded homelands of the Coast Salish People working on her PhD in psychology. She is a Black American & Indigenous (Chahta & Cherokee descendant) queer woman who has worked in many community settings as an accomplice, including: creating workshops and curriculum on JEDI concepts using Equitable Mindfulness*, speaking and coordinating anti-Black racism events, and being present on many advisory committees that support systemically marginalized groups.
